
This rulebook outlines all general rules, safety guidelines, equipment regulations, penalties, and procedures for the TYRUN fitness race. Participation implies knowledge and acceptance of these rules.

1. Participants & Categories
1.1 Age: minimum 14 years for Scaled & Open, minimum 18 years for Pro.
1.2 Categories: Scaled, Open, and Pro.
1.3 Divisions: Singles Men, Singles Women, Doubles Men, Doubles Women, and Doubles Mixed.
1.4 Start waves: Athletes start in staggered heats according to bib number and call-up.
1.5 Athletes must be on time in the call-up zone. Late arrival results in loss of start position with no compensation or rescheduling provided.
2. Safety & Fair Play
2.1 Always follow the instructions of judges, head judge, crew, and medical staff.
2.2 Unsafe or unsportsmanlike behavior, verbal or physical, will result in disqualification (DSQ) and possible removal from the venue.
2.3 In case of injury or emergency, safety takes priority: leave the track/station immediately when asked by an official.
2.4 Arguing with a judge is not permitted. Disputes can result in DSQ in consultation with the Head Judge and Race Directors.
3. Running & Course Rules
3.1 Running track: one-way traffic. Follow the arrows.
3.2 Athletes must keep to the right at all times, except when overtaking.
3.3 Overtaking must be done on the left.
3.4 The inside lane must remain free for overtaking.
3.5 Athletes must stay within designated running and working zones.
3.6 Failure to respect the official course results in penalties or DSQ.
4. Timing & Equipment
4.1 Timing is performed via electronic chip timing by an external timing partner.
The organization is not liable for any timing inaccuracies, delays, or technical issues caused by this system.
4.2 The chip must be worn correctly at all times.
4.3 Lost chips may result in invalid race and a €15 charge unless due to technical defect.
4.4 All stations use equipment provided by the organization.
4.5 Athletes cannot choose their own lane or machine.
4.6 Equipment may not be moved or adjusted.
4.7 On Concept2 machines, seat, damper, and foot straps may be adjusted.
5. Allowed & Forbidden Gear
5.1 Allowed: wrist or knee sleeves, sports tape (not as performance aid), sweatbands.
5.2 Gloves without additional grip mechanisms are allowed for protection only.
5.3 No gadgets policy applies for fair competition.
5.4 Straps, hooks, grips, or similar aids are forbidden.
5.5 Headphones or earbuds are forbidden for safety reasons.
5.6 Mobile phones, cameras, or action cams are forbidden during the race.
6. Hydration & Assistance
6.1 No outside assistance is allowed.
6.2 Athletes may not accept drinks or food from spectators or coaches.
6.3 Hydration is provided by the organization at refill stations.
6.4 No personal drinks allowed on the competition floor.
6.5 Chalk is provided by the organization where needed.
7. Competition Rules
7.1 Athletes must follow queue lines and wait for assignment.
7.2 The judge gives the start signal and counts valid reps.
7.3 No-reps must be repeated until completed correctly.
7.4 Resting is allowed but may not exceed 10 minutes continuously.
7.5 Exceeding rest limit results in automatic DSQ.
7.6 Equipment must remain within station zone.
7.7 Equipment must be placed down safely; throwing results in penalty.
8. Sandbag Rules
8.1 Velcro strap must remain fully closed at all times.
8.2 Athletes may not use or open the strap for grip or support.
8.3 Scaled & Open athletes assigned 50kg may switch to 40kg.
8.4 Switching results in a 15-minute time penalty.
9. Sandbag Rules
9.1 Missing a station results in a 25-minute penalty.
9.2 Missing a running lap results in a 15-minute penalty.
9.3 Accepting outside assistance results in DSQ after warning.
9.4 Use of forbidden gear results in DSQ after warning.
9.5 Dangerous behavior results in DSQ after warning.
9.6 Sandbag strap violation leads to penalties or DSQ after warning.
10. Protest
10.1 Protests must be filed within 60 minutes after finishing.
10.2 Must be submitted at registration desk with details.
10.3 Official video may be reviewed; public video is not binding.
10.4 Decision by Head Judge and Race Director is final.
11. Medical & Doping
11.1 Organization may stop athletes for medical reasons.
11.2 Doping is strictly forbidden.
11.3 Testing may occur pre- or post-race.
11.4 Refusal leads to DSQ and possible suspension.
12. Practical Information
12.1 No bag drop provided; lockers available for rent.
12.2 Athletes must report 15 minutes before heat.
12.3 Warm-up areas must be respected.
12.4 Personal gear must be removed after warm-up.
13. Registration & Substitutions
13.1 Substitution allowed in case of force majeure with prior notice.
13.2 Names must be updated in official system before race.
13.3 Incorrect registration means athlete cannot race.
13.4 No refunds after registration.
13.5 Identity verification required with valid ID.
14. Final Provisions
14.1 Organization reserves the right to update the rulebook.
14.2 Latest version on event page is binding.
14.3 Changes are explained during athlete briefing.
